Stockings are sized by height and weight. If you get stockings or pantyhose that are too large they will be loose. If they are too small, especially pantyhose, they will not only look terrible but also feel terrible. Especially for an event such as a wedding, going to the opera, or going out on a spectacular date, you sure will want to feel comfortably dressed.

If you are planning a very special event, it is a good idea to purchase your nylons ahead of time and try them on first to see how they fit. If they fit really well, go buy a few extra pair in case of a last minute runner, or any other sort of accident or unforeseen circumstance such as getting caught in a rain shower or falling. If they didn’t fit well you may need to try a different size.
