Do tights that secrete lotions work to smooth your legs? Are they comfortable? How long must you wear them?

I saw these L’Eggs Profiles Tights today and thought they would be a more affordable alternative to Spanx. The package said the massaging action of the hosiery work to secrete natural lotions into your legs throughout the day, decreasing cellulite and smoothing your legs. I think it’s a little creepy, but I’m willing to try if it does what it claims to do. Do they work though and more importantly are they comfortable? I normally don’t like to wear tights or pantyhose, but I’m willing to wear these for the winter.

These sorts of claims have been made for over 10-15 yrs. I’m sure there is some validity to them. Lotion on your legs is true and will soften them. Shrinking size is not necessarily proven but they say that it is clinically proven. Caffeine tights by Sunkiss claim the same by smoothing and reducing cellulite.

I figure it cannot hurt. They will soften your legs and of course all pantyhose smooth your legs. They are no more or less comfortable than other quality tights.

Hose or tights with high heels out of fashion?

I love my pumps and high heels and I normally wear them without tights/panty hose. But I’m noticing that my feet & shoes are starting to smell!! It’s really embarrassing and I can’t just kick them off at a friends house without running to the bathroom to wash my feet …. So, I’m thinking i should wear tights to help with the smell……….is this too old fashion? Will this help? I usually wear my pumps with skinny jeans. WHat type of tights/hose would you recommend?

Definitely coming back into fashion. If your wearing pantyhose under jeans, just make sure they aren’t sheer. You want to get something with a higher denier (at least 30) to help prevent runs. Also, as long as your pumps aren’t open toe, get pantyhose with reinforced toes.

btw, if you ask most guys for an honest answer, they seem to prefer hosed legs over bare ones.
